Vast amounts of ideas in these works. Obviously to bring about major world change. Most of these things take lots of civic awareness, and probably even take reprogramming people to an extent.One of the major fears of families today, I think, tends to be that their children will be reprogrammed by the media, or the government, or drugs/sex/violence. The information age has taken the baby boomers and those that follow them closely by surprise and there is an intense reactionary movement to instill in their children the necessity to stay the course. To not change in the face of the influences of others in order to protect and stay true to the things they care about. Desperately hanging onto that hollow concept of the "middle class" suburban nightmare, while the ghetto grows larger and more tortured.Anyway, before I get lost in the learned helplessness (Too late, right?), all the same, this is an interesting read.
